Last week we talked about transitions and ongoing changes in our organisations and personal lives. I hope you managed to reserve your ticket to the Creating Lasting Habits event this coming Thursday 2nd February.
Transitions have been a major area of attention for me because at HVO Search we are always helping executives move to the next level of their careers.
Looking from the perspective of organisations that may be losing a key leader or having to restructure teams, such transitions can be complex, stressful and lengthy. Very often the best solution is bringing in highly specialised support from external HR professionals who have been there and done that many times.
With this need in mind, I would like to introduce you to Zia Paul-Birabi, my new collaborator and an extremely capable HR change management pro.
Our businesses and our personal lives are subject to ongoing change. Start-ups may be entering a growth phase and hiring their first leadership team, growth companies may be on a hiring spree, large corporations may be going through a merger or making redundancies.
Personally we may be going through a number of transitions. We may be starting a new role (internally or at a new company), stepping up into our first CEO role or even founding our own company.
New Year is on the horizon, and as we enter 2017, many of us will be thinking about what we can do to be better in the new coming year – on both a personal, professional and cultural level.
In January, my co-founders at BOLDR and I will be organising an interactive seminar with Dr. Gabija Toleikyte which will look at how we can change our habits, modify our brains and create lasting change. There will be some personal stories of success and maybe even a sample of the new coaching product we have been building.
I will follow up with some more details in the new year. But in the meantime, let me talk about the Kaizen approach.
