For a few years now, Amazon has been trying to muscle its way into the online fashion space.

The company, which first began selling clothing in 2008, made a strategic acquisition of BuyVIP in 2010, has continued to add big names to its store – including Gucci, Hugo Boss, and many more – and was even rumoured to have been involved in an attempt to buy Net-a-Porter.

LVMH to Rival Apple Watch

The wearables industry is growing – fast!

Last month we saw Fitbit make an incredible market debut, and learnt that the wearables market is set to grow by a huge 173.3 percent this year.

This is a fact that clearly hasn’t escaped LVMH, the French luxury goods maker, who recently announced that they will launch a product to rival the Apple Watch.

It’s an interesting development, and perhaps one of the first times a fashion company has gone toe-to-toe with a tech company.

Are Selfie Payments the next big Thing?

You would be hard pressed to find an innovation as ingenious as Mastercard’s latest tech development.

By combining two of many modern day consumers’ favourite things – taking selfies and purchasing products – the company is pioneering a new payment system that is sure to make waves.

Currently in the trial phase, Mastercard’s new smartphone app explores the possibility of using facial recognition as an alternative to SecureCode – an additional level of security for online shopping which requires shoppers to enter a password before they are able to make a purchase.
