Opportunities - VP Sales, London
Our client (one of London’s fastest growing technology startups and the world’s leading distributed commerce platform) is searching for VP Sales to be responsible for growing the business in the UK and other key markets, as well as acting as the lead salesperson for major retailer, brand and media customers.

THE COMPANY
The company, which is headquarters in London and has regional offices in North America, turns all categories of lifestyle content and digital advertising into seamless, intuitive shopper experiences at the world’s biggest retailers and works closely with their suppliers and media partners.
THE ROLE
Based in London, the position is a critical hire, reporting to the CCO, and has extensive scope for professional and personal development. You will be a team player, joining a strong commercial team to build the sales function from the ground up. The role will have key budget responsibility and will be assessed and tracked based on ambitious sales growth targets.
This is a position for a results driven sales person who has a successful track record of selling technology solutions/platforms in to major commercial organisations. The role involves:
- Sales origination, proposition development, relationship management and sales completion
- Winning new business by converting an extensive pipeline of engaged prospects
- Working alongside the CCO to secure major strategic sales
- Overseeing account management of existing customers to protect and extend revenue
- Working with the CCO to set monthly sales targets and deliver reliably on an ongoing basis
- Setting pricing strategy with the senior team in line with the market, for both short and long term
- Contributing to and co-authoring pre sales and marketing materials ensuring market fit
- Working collaboratively with product teams to develop and sell new product
- Assessing, recommending and implementing improved sales systems, processes etc. to deliver customer satisfaction/revenue growth
- Devising and delivering successful customer/sales and partnership strategies, including an initial 12 month sales plan and strategy
- Recruiting additional team members as required/warranted
- Working closely with other key senior team leaders to ensure activity is co-ordinated – specifically those team leaders responsible for customer delivery, finance and product development
- Developing and managing budgets (in conjunction with the CCO, CFO etc.) for sales activity
- Setting and delivering targets (in conjunction with the CCO, CFO etc.) for sales revenue
- Developing management and board reports, analysis and performance summaries regarding sales growth
THE CANDIDATE
Essential
- Track record of B2B technology sales success
- Experience/knowledge of FMCG sector
- Strategic sales experience
- Management and leadership skills
- Unbeatable conversion ratio of leads to sales
Desirable
- Ad tech experience
- Awareness of SaaS/PaaS sales/ partnership strategies
- Understanding of e-commerce
- Multilingual
