Senior Retail Buyer, Luxury, Dubai
Our client is one of the largest luxury goods retailers in Dubai. They are looking for an experienced Retail Luxury Buyer who has worked with both womenswear and menswear in premium fashion.
For this position you would need to relocate to Dubai and speak and write excellent English.

Responsibilities / role
Senior Retail Buyer, Luxury is responsible for selecting and buying the most suitable merchandise for the respective brands. You need to bring strong business acumen to produce sales growth and meet/exceed the annual financial objectives.
You have a strong merchandising/buying background, having worked on assortment for a high end luxury monobrand. You have a strong affinity for luxury fashion and product knowledge.
What you do in this role
- Contribute to seasonal financial planning
- Appropriately buy fashion assortments for stores/markets across the Middle East
- Visit stores regularly to understand client needs and train store teams on product knowledge
- Develop both short and long term strategies and execute effectively
- Independently manage respective buying budget per brand
- Report sales and buying statistics and measure by KPIs
- Work independently and as well in a team
- Get POs raised on time. Liaise with brands to insure timely deliveries
- Attend trade fairs/buying trips to keep abreast of market trends and to introduce a new collection of products
Requirements
- Buying experience to Senior Buyer level in fashion, preferably in a mono brand luxury environment
- Proven track record in the field of purchasing + retailing
- Used to analyzing market trends, consumer preferences, sell through, seasonal demands etc in order to practice in line with consumer/store demands
- Very strong excel skills
- Excellent communicator in English (spoken and written)
- Very analytic mindset – numbers driven
- Must have excellent organizational and negotiation skills
- Team player and international, flexible, open mindset
- A college degree from an accredited college or university is required
